Amex Construction LLC is hiring construction laborers for civil, site work, excavation, utilities, septic, concrete, demolition, and general construction projects across the South Shore and Southeastern Massachusetts.

We are looking for reliable, safety-minded people who want to work, learn, and grow with a construction company that does real field work every day.

Location: Hanover, MA and Surrounding area
Work Area: South Shore, Cape Cod, and Southeastern Massachusetts
Schedule: Monday–Friday, typical start time 7:00 AM. Saturdays may be required depending on project schedule and workload.
Pay: Competitive hourly pay based on experience, licenses, reliability, and ability.

Who We Are Looking For

This is a field position for someone who understands that construction work requires effort, accountability, and attention to safety.

The right candidate shows up on time, follows direction, works safely around equipment, keeps a clean work area, and supports the crew without needing to be chased all day.

You do not need to know everything on day one. You do need to be dependable, coachable, and willing to work.

Typical Work Includes

Construction laborers may assist with:

  • Site preparation and cleanup

  • Excavation support

  • Septic system installation

  • Utility trenching

  • Drainage and stormwater work

  • Concrete prep and placement

  • Demolition

  • Material handling

  • Grading, loam, seed, and site restoration

  • Hand digging and trench work

  • Assisting equipment operators and supervisors

  • Using hand tools, power tools, compactors, saws, pumps, and small equipment

  • Keeping the job site clean, organized, and safe

Work is performed outdoors in changing weather conditions and on active construction sites.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable transportation to our shop or assigned job site

  • Ability to report ready to work on time

  • Ability to follow supervisor direction

  • Ability to work safely around equipment, trenches, traffic, tools, and active job sites

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials as required, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, dirt, dust, mud, and job site conditions

  • Good attitude and ability to work as part of a crew

You will not do well here if you are unreliable, unsafe, constantly late, careless with equipment, or need to be reminded to work.

Preferred Experience

The following are preferred, but not required for the right candidate:

  • Previous site work, excavation, utility, septic, concrete, or general construction experience

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

  • MA Hoisting License

  • CDL Class A or B

  • DOT Medical Card

  • Hot Work Certification

  • Experience with compactors, saws, lasers, trench boxes, pumps, pipe work, and grade work

Candidates with strong work ethic and no prior experience may still be considered.
